Get them Platinum tints with the iced out bezel and the Gucci rims that keep spinning everytime you stop. Just joking! By platinum tint are you talking about a mirrored tint?

HaHa very funny! Well kinda, Platinum Tint is kind of like a regular black/smoke tint but w/ a glossy mirrorized look to it. I'm pretty sure they are on this max,but this one is black, i wanted to see what they would look like on a white or light colored car...

Dude I saw those rims that spin when car is at a stop. I tripped out like crazy. Like "WTF!?!?!?!?!" Never seen them. Saw 'em on a Mercedes. Man that was wild. Freakin' snapped my neck tryin' to get a nice glimpse at 'em.

its not mirror tint, its platinum, I like it but I also like black, I think black goes better with my car, its cool like on silver, white and black cars if they are somewhat hooked up, on a crappy looking car with bad paint and whatnot Id just go with black, because the platinum looks like your trying to make a statement

... is that mirrored/platinum/whatever tint even legal?? You can't even see in when you're right up on the car. I would be afraid that if I got pulled over I would have cops trippin on me with thier guns pulled. That's kinda dangerous, isn't it? I had limo on my last caddy, and I got pulled in it once and didn't roll down all the windows when he came up to the car cause it was raining and he drug me out of the car and wrote me a ticket to get it stripped in the next 48 hours or he would impound it. ???

Ever since then I have been afraid to even tint my windows. If I do I think I would probably keep it legal...

platinum

My tint isn't really platinum, it's 20%, but in my sig pic it does look kinda like the platinum you are talking about so it might give you a nice idea...

Just for the record...

You guys DO realize it's just 'tint' right? Tint plural is still just tint, just like neon plural is still neon...

That is all.

naw, I'm not into that platinum tint, I like smoke tint on grey cars...its a mix...pretty dark, but just light enough to go with a light/dark gray car! I have 41% smoke right now, but one of these days I'll be going to 20%.

dont belove everything you hear on cribs, trust me theres already about three other companys with rims that do that, some are motorized and spin when the car is put in park and change direction when the car is put in drive

Re: Tints.............

i just got my tints done yesterday. i went to the shop and i told the guy i wanted the dual tone tints (platinum at the bottom black tint on top)
he didn't suggested for two reasons a)in the winter time when you use your rear window defogger it will destroy that platinum paper b)i live in ny
so thats a almost guaranteed ticket.i hope that helped.

for the last time, the platinum tint is totally different from that cheesy chrome or mirror tint people get on the bottom

tint

I've got a '94 GXE luxury edition and I'm going to tint it. Does anyone know the percent that is put on the sunroof of my body and if it is charcoal or bronze? My car is the emerald green so i think a 35% bronze all the way around would look good.

"luxury edition"

BTE - what type of tint do you think would look best on my GXE? Black or Platinum?

If someone told you a VE had 200 hp, you'd correct them and say it only had 190.

Same with RPM's, tints, neons, etc. It's just simply wrong and deserves to be corrected. Problem is, most people learn their car 'knowledge' from F&F or SuperStreet and it drives me insane. Learn the stuff right the first time from people/sources that actually know what they're talking about.

Hearing the announcers on NASCAR today say RPM's just bout blew me through the roof!
