Struts/Springs/Whatever

I don't know the diff between a strut from a spring etc, anyway..my car is too bouncy..no stiffness i feel like it's leaning into turns too much..my back seat drivers jump around like crazy...and i want stiffness in car..because it feels sluggish...back end of car really tips left and right from what my friends told me when i turned....any idea what i should do to fix this? because sometimes i can't even feel small speed bumps...and if i push the car side to side it moves waaaay too much..and up and down moves around a lot..more than it should definately.

I presume you won't be doing the work yourself,so just take it to a mechanic and have it checked out. If you think the estimate is too high, get a 2nd opinion.

Re: Struts/Springs/Whatever

If you don't know the difference between shocks/struts/springs etc, do a search. It's really easy. There will be many many pages of info, because it is one of the most common mods. Read them for a while, then when you go to the shop to have them look at your car, you will be better educated, and hopefully you won't get as ripped off.

Also, pick up a factory service manual, or a Chilton/Haynes--available at CSK Auto stores. Even if you don't do the work, it will help to know how your car works. I figure if you are on a automotive enthusiasts site, you will be eager to learn about this.

Good Luck

Andrew
