As you may know Dan and I are working on a bargain priced CAI setup for the VE and VG maxima. We want to offer them in at least a couple of colors just for the gen 3 (and probably also polished 304 stainless as an option.) If you will email me at the following address we will post the results after the holidays.

So email me...... dallas@warpspeedperformance.com

and give us some ideas.

well take whats out there for example...

PR has silver, red, yellow and blue...silver is the standard and you can "custom" order the others....they're all powdercoated...

its hard to pick a color because everyone has something different in mind...silver is a safe bet with them

curiosity...what size tubing are you guys planning on using?

I agree with Chris also. I think silver is the safe bet along with 3 other colors. Some people like bright colors.

3" and will try a few 2.5"

We will first offer them in 3".

However we are also going to fabricate a couple of 2.5" since there have been thoughts that 2.5" might achieve better results, we'll put one on Dan's VE and already have someone in mind to try a 2.5" on a VG.

I like the polished chrome look myself, we are also doing a CAI prototype for the Jeep Grand Cherokee V8s and I am getting polished stainless for mine.

Will you be basing the pricing on look, gains, or the size of the tubing cuz if you guys are coming out with a CAI ( hopefully for a VG too) i'll put my plans for ordering from Cattman on hold.

Make it...

3" black or polished and I'm ordering one. Offer it bare and I'll paint it black. Like an eggshell semi-gloss so it almost blends in. I like things to look almost stock.

we will have VG and VE WSP CAI

We will offer a WSP VG and VE model CAI, we have been working on the pricing and hope to have photo's and prices on or around Jan 4,2001. I don't know what the first color will be.

We plan to offer for a competitive price, we have even been talking about offering them without the filter for those who have them already.

I think carbon fiber would look great but I would expect the price would be quite high. Plastic would probably be better as it actually is less conductive to heat than metal, I am not sure about the carbon fiber. We know a plastics guy and are checking on that as well.

So far it looks like shipping will run about $10.00 for priority mail shipping. We look at that too.

WSP CAI

Dan and I were talking about the CAI's just this morning, I told him the same thing. We will offer the CAI's in several colors as well as I think 304 stainless and unpainted for those wanting to paint their own, if you want pink or orange you are on your own.

Offering without filters is a natural, I like the K&N but I have a brand-x on my Jeep. I looked at them both, they looked the same. I tried them both on my CAI and felt no difference, the brand-x was about half the price. Sure the K&N has a 1 million mile warranty, however having just had the tranny replaced under warranty in my Jeep it probably won't make the million so I will not sweat the filter.

I got in trouble today, my wife read an ad in the paper about some jewelery that was now 50-75% off, hey I thought "good deal" she said she had paid full price for a piece last week. I said in my infinite wisdom "having sales are just another way of saying we have been screwing you 50-75% more than we are now". She still went shopping, I stayed home.

I would go with silver, chrome, or a blend in black that matches the rest of the engine. I need to get my Max first tho

Warpspeed CAI (off topic)

Wouldn't you know, the cat tears open a bag under the tree and looks like I got a cashmere sweater. All I wanted was a set of laser sights for one of my pistols. The sweater was probably on sale, the sights not. Ho, Ho, Ho.
Here kitty kitty.......
