... what are you asking?? Tire size has jack to do with what springs you have. Shouldn't you be asking if they will fit on your rims??? If you're asking if 17s will fit on a Maxima, well... duh. If you are asking if they will fit because you have Eibachs, well, Eibachs bearly even lower the car, and there are plenty of people with 18s and Intrax, so figure that.

Easy man! But doesn't tire size definately come into play with ride height. You can run Intrax with 18" wheels, as long as you drop your tire's aspect ratio accordiingly. If you try to run 215/50/18's, I doubt they will fit right?

Actually, no. That would be kinda tight, unless the rim was only 7 inches wide with the correct offset. 215/45/17 would obviously fit, though. Isn't that the stock size for the 5th gens anyway?? If it's not, I'm pretty sure it's 215/50/17 and if 5th gen wheels fit perfectly why wouldn't 215/45/17?? Sorry, I guess it was just an obvious answer to anyone willing to look for 10 minutes or so.

I had STs and 225/40/18s on my Maxima last year. They were super wide rims to fit those tires and they fit. The sidewalls weren't much bigger than rubber bands, but hey it did look good. Glad I sold those things...

Come to think of it, I bet 215/50/17 WOULD fit on there with Eibachs...

The Dunlop SP9000's that i am currently running are 215/45/17. My car is a little lower then with stock wheels but i have no problems even with Sprints.

Yeah, 215/50/17 proabably would fit with Eibachs, I was just saying that tire size is definately a concern..too tall and they will rub. 225/40/18..damn, that's serious rolling stock. Those would last about three days here in south jersey. It ain't cheap to straighten a wheel.

Naw, they were KMC Evolutions. Nearly impossible to bend em. They were forged one-piece alluminum, treated and coated, then triple chromed. Probably the strongest wheel I've ever had. Big downside (other than being really big in diameter): they weighed 57lbs. a piece (without tires). That's one heavy freakin wheel!!!

Whoah!! 57 lbs!!! that's nuts..must have made your nimble Max feel like a lard a**! I wonder about the strength of those Rotas..how are they so light and so cheap? Not forged I don't think..would cost alot more. I read a post on some other board that they loved them and the guy even commented on their durability. I'll give them a go. Can get a set of four for about the price of one most forged lightweights! Now it's time to start weighing tires...

Those tires should fit just fine. I am currently running 225/40/18 with Eibach springs. The tires are Yokohama Paradas on Konig Toxxins. I still have about 1 inch of space so my next set of tires will be 45 profile. The Parada sidewall is kind of sloping built so it looks skinnier than it actually is. I have never had a rubbing problem and have been running like this for two years...

Those tires are on a set of rims that I may buy. I already know that they fit the rims (duh). I already know you can put 17" rims on a maxima (duh again). I just wanted to know if that size was compatible with my car, and I threw in the fact that I had Eibachs in case it was close enough to make and difference.

And yes, before you ask, I have checked, the rims are 5 lugs by 114 and do fit my car.

Ummm... then it sounds like you're good-to-go. Not sure now what your question was, but sounds like you answered it.

First off I've searched and read through a ton of posts about tire size, but I just want to make sure I'm thinking right on this one. I found a set of konig maxxim's that are 17"x7" and are fitted with 215/45HR17 Kumho 711 tires. I know that I'm going to need hubcentric rings and tuner lugs as well. Whalentire.com is saying that they won't fit because of the tires. From what I've read these would fit a 93 gxe right? I'm riding stock on the struts and springs right now and I think these will fit, and would look even better if I put on some Eibach's and Tokico's

They are saying that the rim/tire combo wouldn't fit because of the tire size?? That's silly. If they think there would be a clearance issue, then that really makes no sense because people fit 19s and 20s on 3rd gens. If they are saying that the tires won't fit that size of rim, then that's a different story.
215/45 seems like a better size for a 7.5" wide rim, though. I didn't know they made those rims in 17X7 either, I thought all of the 17s were 7.5" wide. Oh well, anyway, you can go to tirebarn's website (I think) and click on a 3rd gen maxima and see what size rims/tires will fit. Find a 17X7 rim and it will tell you what the recommended tire size is for that wheel. Good luck. Tires are the most important component of your suspension. A poorly sized tire will throw off your handling and tread wear and make your car ride bad.

Alright, that sounds good and thanks for the help. I'm still not really sure though yet. Check out this link and tell me what you think: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1872112269

Well, since the person(s) you are buying them from say they won't fit, I wouldn't get them. That makes you liable.
