SPEC clutches

Anyone ever heard of them? They are at Nippon Power http://www.nipponpower.com/drivetrai...ec_nissan.html
You can get a 4 pcuk design that is sprung so it doesn't engage harsh but it also handles 469 ft lb of torque and they are priced at about the same as ACT. Kind of interesting. Any know anything about them? THanks.

Not sure about their clutches, but I have an ACT HDR6 clutch kit that will estimated hold around 496lbs/ft of torque and so far I love it.

The thing i'm interested about in this one is it's sprung so it's a little less harsh. i also heard that the springs can blow out under high power but they say this thing holds 496 ft lb so... i'm pretty interested.

I have a solid hub 6 puck and I know what you are getting at cause in traffic you have to let the car in front you go ahead of you a bit because the car lauches like a juggernaut.

well you get used to it after about a week at most and then it isn't anything. If you are a good manual tranny dirver then you can still engage the clutch smoothly if your timing is good!

i still need some practice on my manual, or the clutch is going out, or my mounts are bad. one of those three is keeping me from getting good smooth driving with a stock clutch

could be the clutch... man mine was toast, had to be the original one on the car when I had my ACTHDR6 and AASCO flywheel installed.

well, the stock clutch i have is new but when it was in the tranny the input shaft seal was broken so it tossed fluid on the clutch which i think ruined it. i'm also planning on getting a jdm vg30et in the next week or so, so i need something that grips and i think this spec should do.

sounds good, the 4puck sprung clutch is gonna be a motherload of engagement. I can't wait to hear what you are pushing though power wise after the swap.

How much did the vg30et cost you? Drop me a IM on AIM/AOL at DJThrilla2 , or on Yahoo at TheEdgeProductions, or MSN at ICONOCLAST_PROD@hotmail.com
