Forllow the head unit remove instructions on Craig's how to page to remove the dash
http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html

Then, if i remember right, there are just a few screws to remove and the unit will slide out. Haven't taken the dash aprat in a few monthes so I could be wrong.

I have all the srews out but it is still locked in there some kinda way. I can wiggle it around but it wont budge. Does it come out through the rear or what?

No, mine came out through the front. I haven't taken it out in quite some time, but I will be messing around with the car this weekend, so I will check it for you and let you know how I got mine out.

ac control

yes there a trick to it ounce the screws are loose push the right side of the unit all the way in an pull the left side throught the front its obvious the unit cannot be removed jus by pulling it straight forward apply a little pressure when pushin the right side in so you have room on the left to play with , you have to use your imagination on this one

Got the unit out !! But I had to take the whole front dash apart...then i found the little cover on top that holds the bulbs that I could've gotten to without all of that jazz. But I'm not sure it is the bulbs. I think it may be the board inside...but we will see tommorrow.
Thanx for your help
