Hi everyone I am sad to tell u all that my cousin supermax091 or josh werline (this is his member name) passed away over the weekend. He was involved in a hit and run on i-95 he was racing and the guy jumped lanes and knocked him into the rail. I just want to let you all know in how dangerous racing is. This is crazy he was only 23 and he and his wife just had a kid in july. I am his cousin he has left his car to me. I might be asking alot of questions about this car cause i have no clue about it. I want to rebuild this for him and need your help. Thanks for your time

Oh gawd, this is tragic news indeed. It's so sad to hear someone so young died in such an unexpected way. My condolences, especially for his wife and kid.

As D-sta said, hope this kind of tragedy would prevent others from similar fate.

 

Sometimes, Agamemnon, it DOES take tragedy like this to knock some sense into people's heads about the perils of street racing. I just had a little daughter in April, and I couldn't even imagine leaving her behind like that.

Whenever I hear about a fellow .org memeber passing away, I take a piece of black cloth and tie it to my mirror in their memory. It's bad that we've lost so many Max's to crap this year, but far worse that we lose members to tragedy.

My prayers (and I hope the prayers of all our "brothers and sisters" here) go out to the surviving family members.

I want to thank all of u. This really means alot to me and now i want to get this car running its the ugly soft top take all of you hate. I wanted to sell it but i know how much it meant to him. So I am gonna totally redo it and make him proud.

how could you say sell it? do you have a heart i mean dam. Sell it yeah ok sure. And as far as I know he did sell it but the guy never came thru with all the money so he got it back. This happen on friday at 9pm on I-95 near philly. And from what i can see is yeah the decals and stuff he did was ugly but most of the maxima's i been seening only have a stillen kit on it thats it. What makes your max so great ummm nothing so you paid 400 for a kit wow. I just wrote to u guys cause checking his e-mail i saw that he posted stuff on here. And to maybe get some ideas for myself not for some a$$ hole to tell me to sell something that means alot to me. Man that gets under my skin

that's rude to say sell it. He wants to keep it in memory of his cousin. Just leave him alone about selling it. it means something to him and his wife. I think it is a good idea

 

Don't sell it. Either fix it up as it was before he died, or fix it up to your liking. Either way, it should be kept as a tribute.

 

You are going through bereavement, mourning. You are upset and angry, we understand. You came to this forum to look for answers, ideas, feedback, and/or suggestions. There are a lot of better ways of dealing with your emotions than directing them to other members on the .Org. If the car means a lot to YOU, then do this FOR YOU, not FOR him. But, there are more honerable ways of remembering someone besides memorializing them in a car. You might put the money otherwise spent on the Max into an account for the child. Please, take these words for what they are, empathetic, heartfelt and sincere. You have my personal condolenses. All our hearts here on the .Org go out to you and his family.... I urge everyone not to make this into something other than a positive thread.

 

people here are not saying sell it because they dont respect the guy or anything like that
he had posted a few times that he was trying to sell it (and he posted that he did sell it) a couple times and that he didn't really like what was done with the car
so to ME (you obviously know better than I would), he didn't seem like he wanted to do a whole lot more to that car other than get rid of it

thanks man thats what i have in mind. I am gonna put clear corners, carbon fiber hood, new wing, custom body kit and get the soft top redone. This car will have alot of life. Question whats in as far a decals. put decals on it or just leave it plain. I mean he had decals on it but from what i was reading you guys never had anything nice to say about this car. I mean think about it, it is a one of a kind cause of the soft top got to give some kind of credit

This may sound bad at a time of loss......but how can one fix up a car that someone died in. I don't mean the moral of it, I mean, how can you physically fix all that damage. People don't die in fender benders. Your talking about clear corners etc....isn't the car a mangled mess?

 

So sorry to hear of this horrible news, I will keep his family in my prayers. It is always so sad to hear of someone falling at such a young age, not to mention when his child is so young.

 

i agree with that....kinda odd i didn't hear of this on the news as this stuff is covered often here in philly especially b/c of the street racing scene. What stretch of 95 did this take place on?

i'm going to agree with Mike on this one. that car should be pretty much totalled if someone died in it. clears and the roof should be the last of your problems.

I do hope you wouldn't be trying to fake your own death on the org. That would be extremely pathetic. If not, and you truly are his cousin, than I am sorry but you must understand that there have been numerous complaints of his/your shadiness and you seem more worried about asking what you should do to trick out his car than anything else. If you're legit, and I were you, I'd be looking after his family right now instead of trickin out his car (unless you just have money to burn, in which case more power to ya). I apologize for my insensitivity, but that's the org.........

 

Post some pictures of the wrecked car so we can see if it's worth it to fix it up or not.

I though i was the only one wondering why this guy is worrying about clear corners, when the car should have actual body damage from hitting a guard rail. Shouldn't you be worried about fixing the body damage first?
Didn't feel like calling him on it because everyone was being super sensitive and cuddling with him.

If your cousin really did die in the accident, that's very sad to hear. Leaving a young wife and child behind is very sad, I'm sure they'll recieve alot of support from the family to eventually make it on their own. Best wishes to them and the entire family.

I don't like jumping to conclusions, but members have expressed a lot of concern to the moderators regarding this thread.

 

Phew...i'm glad you guys are coming out. I was the first person to read this thread and i kept my mouth shut. If it's true then i'm sorry but this guy has been shady from day 1. Posting pics of a sweet 3rd gen...not his. Then asking dumb questions making it obvious it wasn't his. Then posting how to fix up the rag top...then it was supposedly sold. Then saying in the 4th gen forum he bought a 97 (check title of cardomain page)...again not his. and then posting "what 4th gen is best to get"...Like i said if it happened...my condolences, but it's been shady from day 1 and i live in the area and traveled 95 fri. night and haven't heard a thing about this accident.

 

Kinda morbid, but wouldn't the paper have a listing of death?

And yes i know the car needs major repair but I was just stating on what aftermarket parts that he wanted he has a list on his lab top. I also just had a kid 6 months ago and i cant even imagen leaving him or my wife this is crazy for you to even think this. So since you all want to be detectives in stead of fellow maxima owners it is cool I will go for help else where. I deleted most of what I had posted originally because I felt it was insensitive and I do not believe in making light of someone's death. If given the benifit of a doubt and this guy is so close to his cousin that he knows his password for online access to check his mail and to have his password for the .org, then should he not also know wether or not the Max was sold (assuming the guy died in a DIFFERENT car)? Appearantly we ALL have the same feeling; this is some bored kid with nothing better to do than to get attention by faking his own death. This is actually quite serious! Supermax, are you suicidal? Are you trying to see how we will respond to the news of your death? One of the reasons for comitting suicide is to cause guilt in those of whom a person is upset and angry with. Please seek help!

That in our society, with all it's knowlege and technology, you must have proof to back up what you say. Our doubting this individual does not make any of us bad people, regardless of the subject. Most of us on here are simply highly functioning individuals which refuse to be niave. I only regret not knowing the truth of this story. Enough said.
