rusted rotors

rusted rotors

i just put on my 18x7 chrome focal f5's, 42 mm offset and damn they barely fit, ill post pics soon, but my question is what can i do for my rusted rotors? i want to paint them black but im not sure what procedure i should take

paint won't stick to rust.
get new cad plated rotors.

Jamal is right...but you could also try and strip the rust off then prime and then paint...might work...

iron oxidizes on contact with water.

cad plated? how much and what is it, those wont rust will they?

pull them off the car, coat them in naval jelly and let it soak for a while (read the directions). rinse clean, dry, paint with high temp paint.

i didnt like that naval jelly stuff...took 2 long....i just put a wire brush on da drill and got it nice n clean, then primed w/ anit rust primer then paint...that was maybe 6 months or so ago...still looks fine today

You are talking about painting your CALIPERS, no? I thought painting rotors was a waste of time and even dangerous
