Quick Question. I bought a great used 3rd Gen Maxima. It runs well. Engine quite, but I hear a kinda of wushing sounds a little when I press the gas at idle. Like coolant, liquid or something moving through the engine. The sound maybe amplified because their is no radio right now. I was just wondering what it may be or if it needs attention. Also I may need a new heating coil what do you think it will cost to replace.

This forum is great reading. It has inspired me to purchased an 89 SE. Still turns heads.
(Hope this ? is not stupid I am not that mechanically inclined)

may be low on antifreeze. my car is and it makes the same sound.

If you hear water rushing inside the car it means there is air
in the heater core. It getting to be winter it's a good time to
drain and fill the radiator and bleed the cooloing system properly.
