Close to the same? Maybe if the rod didn't include the end it would cost as much as the end itself. Tie rod itself costs around $30-50, tie rod end costed me $12, at least from my experience when i worked on that stuff.

Jagworks has the around the same price, a $10 diff isn't to big a deal though really, but the real question, is should i just do the ends or the entire thing?

What is worn out, that is what you should find out. Usually the outer ends take the beating, so it is likely they are shot. Get it off the ground and turn the wheel back and forth. Look for play at the end and the inner. I can say it will be a ton easier to do the whole thing end and rod. Ever try to get the end off a rod? Often a torch is needed. If you don't have a lift this can be a BIT#$ of a job. Maybe for the sake of making life easier, do both at once. Install the end on the new rod in a vise off the car (measure the length of the one on the car and match it). That seems like the easiest route.
