I know the consensus here is that the GR2's are good, but I've heard otherwise from some other boards, not Maxima applications, but nissan none the less. Anyone have issues with quality/performance of these struts?

I just put the GR2 struts on back in early august/late july. So far ive had no problems. But its still to early to tell. Ive probably only put about 2-3k miles on them so far.

this is my thing...people say this isn't good and this is good. I think its all based on drop...I'm starting to think KYB and Tokico are rather equal on a moderate 1.2" and maybe 1.5" drops, but when you get into the lower 1.7" and lower drops, I doubt either Tociko or KYB really lasts any longer than the other...my GR2s(on 1.8" Sprint springs) are getitng very mushy now after 1.5 years and close to 30-35k on 'em...I don't really think getting Tokicos would've been amy different either, my guess is with a very low drop you just gotta realize your strut life won't be as long as OEM on OEM springs(besides maybe if you use Konis). thats my .$02 and some pocket lint.
