ive heard of pcd before but as long as you have the correct bolt pattern and offset and the wheels arent too large or wide it will fit. with an offset of 40, those 9 inchers will not fit at all, trust me, i have a 7 inch wide wheel on a 42 mm offset and i have about 2 or 3 mm to play with inbetween the tire and strut housing.

i didnt need any spacers, but with a 9 inch wide wheel your going to need more than a 5mm spacer. i love the deep lip on wheels but for a 3rd gen maxima i could see where you can run into trouble running a wheel that wide, thats plus 3/2.5 inches than stock. the best thing to do is just find another wheel in the 7-8 inch wide range that looks good.

my gxe wheels are screwed up then, both are the same size (tire wise anyways) they both have 205/60/15 on them.

what is the problem with that? whats screwed up? are you saying that both the gxe and se tires are the same? if so, theres nothing wrong with that. im running 225 right now, but i could go as low as 215 up to 235

oh... ok. i wasn't sure if you could run wider tires on there. so would 17x7.5 be good for better handling and take off traction?

you have no idea, especially if you lower your car. its unbeliveable how much better handling and stability you have, i knew it would increace a lot but never as much as it did once i put on lower profile tires and lowered the car

awesome. thanks for the info man. i'll probably just get some rota wheels that were posted on here a while back. Rota Subzero 17x7.5 in gunmetal. They weight pretty light at 16.9 so that's pretty cool too.

Hey, I know who you're referring to .

When I get my car back from the shop this weekend I'll take all the measurements of the wheels and a measurement of the space between the strut housing and the inside of the rim. But to answer your question, I had to use a 5/8" spacer on the 18x9s but not on the 17x9s. The wider wheel will also feel more confident on the road and even look better than the 7.5" wide. I'll take all the measurements for you this weekend, Mark.

I'm in the market for ROTA's too. BEst deal out there IMO. I'd like to hear some of these sites with good deals.

Mine only weigh 17 lbs. I think that's light, considering they're 17s and the 18s I had before them weighed 57lbs with the tires...
