One problem, VG auto, he's got his eys on a VE 5spd, no going back now. Dennis Buy the Yellow one and sell the rims,

one thing to consider when buying a hooked up car is did the owner beat on it? dont just take his word either, make sure you take this car to a mechanic and ask him if the car has been abused, check the oil condition too, if its all burnt up under the cap Id be carefull.

Ok - the yellow max is aight, but what fun is it to buy a car that is already modded the *** out? If you want a new max, wait until you find a stock max in good condition that was well maintained for a good price and go from there.

For me, the whole point of modding my car is to customize it to my personal liking.

first i have to say that the yellow max is nice!!! Second of all, i must say that what people are saying is true. How you buy a modded max already, you can't really say you did all the work yourself. Thats very true and i know how it feels to put all the time and effort into your very own car. In my case, i put so much time and effort into my 90 se i very much loved my car. Even though some people think my car is not all that tight looking, i did everythin to it myself. Never took anything to the shop to let them do it. Install bodykit/springs/speakers/intake/exhaust all myself. But look what happens in the end. After all that hard work....two weeks after my kit is installed.....some fawken kid rear ends me!!! All that hard work for nothing. Now all i got left of a maxima is the kit/rims/exhaust/intake/system. Now imagine this.....if i was to buy a modded maxima like this yellow one here....wouldnt a lot of people gain more from me buy ing a modded max??? Hint Hint i can sell my mods. I already know i can do all the mods. Why not buy a car that is modded already to my likings???
But one thing that bothers me would be if the car has been abused if it has been soo much modified like this yellow one we are talking about here.

cant see the 2nd car...

but i would go w/ the 2nd one. silver. its got leather. even though the tranny is makin weird noises and stuff, that is probably over average use. and if u fix it , ur good to go for another 150k. i agree that u should mod it urself. u wont have much to look forward to if u buy a moded car, except replacing the mods w/ new ones. they guy with the yellow car is probably charging more than blue book anyways because of the mods. who knows.

Re: cant see the 2nd car...

I bet that yellow one was beat on hard. I don't want someone elses hot rod. At least if a stock car was beat on it has a better chance than a modded one. Plus, the yellow one is a repaint..how good was it. Plus, it's harder to go from one guy's idea of custom to anothers. Start with a stocker..much more satisfying. The tranny thing is an issue though. If you are prepared to fix that and move forward, you would be better off. The $1200 difference gets you the tranny, then it's alll good.

well update

didnt get to test drive it today, have to wait till sunday, owell. also i ran a carfax report on the 2nd one and it was in an accident in 99, front left fender damage , owners fault. I cant see it, but that would explain the airbag missing, and new steering wheel.

I fixed the link to the second one, my apologies.

The gray car has 89-91 SE tails- definitely not VE tails. Does anyone else see this?
