My girlfriend got $12,000 to spend on a car plus whatever she can sell her 87 honda accord LX-i for. I think she could probably get 2000 t0 2500 for her accord.
She wants to get a 97-99 superblack loaded SE 5spd or auto. I think she could find this for that amount of money. anyone have any input on that. what other cars would be good for that price range? she wants a big 4door.

the only way she'll be able to get a 97+ superblack Max for $12,000 is if the pays cash on the car. Try to find a private seller also, as they're cheaper than dealers.
if she can sell the accord, use it for the tag and tax and insurance, since it'll be quite a bit higher than what the accord was.

dude, tell her to go for like a 93 or so Acura legend. grrr... i love that car, i think its worth it for around 10-12k. hmmm... what about a couple year old passat, what are they going for hese day, like still the new body syle ones but like a 98? those are really nice. i dunno to tell you the truth i really dont like 4th gen max's, i got my 3rd gen cause it looks nice and its the best sedan you can get for around 5k, but for 12-14k, dont go for a max, theres many other better cars you find.... just my oppinions guys. even a newer accord v6 maybe, shoot even early 90's BMW 750's are at that price, but theyre unreliable so forget that. anyways, i say just look around, chekc out the others, i mean the max is a nice car, but theres a lot more competition at that price too.

looked up the bluebook...

and for a loaded 97 Max 5spd you're looking at about $15,000 from a private party. Add another $2000 if you go to a dealer. I like the 4th gen's, and am interested in one for when i go to college, or maybe an IS 300... Depends on how generous my dad wants to be/how expensive tuition is.

You might wanna check out the classified in Oklahoma. Last month this chic was selling a 97 SE w/ 34k miles for ONLY $11,000. Bose sysytem n all. I think thats a hell of a STEAL!!! The car was perfect too, no body damage, etc. She just wanted the money bad. I come across good deals in Oklahoma quite often, Donno why Oklahoma, but seems like ppl r rich there. Don't care bout money when it comes to sellin cars. lol good luck

It was a funny scene, n way, I'll try to get the phone # from him ( if he still has it) . He's outta town these days. Will email u if I get the #. latez

I found a nice 94 legend with 58,000 miles for $13,400
Does this seem like a good deal?

ya id go for the legend. my friend got a 98 passat the second lowest model(forget what its called) for 15k and decided that over the legend. the legend is a fast car and powerful but the 97 se is more aggressive looking and just plain out awesome
