hi, im pretty much a newbie here. this is my first post. I have a '94 auto black, the whole thing is pretty much stock (just to give u guys a picture). Well, today i tried to adjust the steering wheel so i had to disconnect the air bag and take it out. i did everything step by step according to the serivce manual that i bought. I handled the air bag with extra care... didn't drop it or anything. And when I installed everything back in place, the air bag light keeps on flashing when i turn the car on. All the service guys at the Nissan dealer told me to bring the car there so they can check it w/ the computer... a $70-$85 charge! One of the guy told me over the phone that whenever you disconnect or do anything to the air bag, the computer needs to be reset or something like that. Did i just do something really stupid here by disconnecting the airbag or wut? please give some wise words =)

damn! posted this once already and the server puked and lost it.. try again..
Umm, try and disconnecting your battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it.. that may kill the memory in the computer and reset everything.. dunno.
are you sure you got all the connections correct? I've never messed with an airbag, so I'm basically pulling this out my a$$.
also.. try calling some of your local body shops and see if they can offer any advice. many of the smaller shops will be willing to talk to people, whereas the large shops won't give you the time of day. good luck!
