Cruise Control Out

Hi, I'm a new member, but long time reader of the forum. First off, let me say that this forum is such a great help for those of us with Maximas. Second, my problem/question. I have an '89 Maxima SE 5spd. About three weeks ago, I tried to use the cruise control, but it would not work. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I might be able to fix it? Thank You.

Good way to suck up for your first post j/k
If your main on/off switch works but the cruise light in the gauge cluster doesn't illuminate I'll check the cruise cancell switch on the break and clutch pedal. It looks just like a break light switch but it's for the cruise.
