Auto Transmission Hesitant

I put my car into "D" and it sometimes takes a few seconds for the transmission to respond. If I toggle the gearshift or move it back to a low gear and then back into "D" it responds immediately. Help anybody? Is it some sort of relay problem?

Tks

Yup, mine is slowly starting to develop it. I belive its the "shifter bushing" which is near the tranny. Good news: Its a pretty cheap fix, and not an indication that anything is wrong with the tranny.

All auto trannies do that. If it makes you feel better my '00 Altima (same tranny as VG Max) does the same thing and always has since new. Virtually every auto tranny I've ever driven hesitates, especially when cold! I bet it is more noticeable when the car is cold vs warm.
