Camber adjustment

My rear tires have worn down to threads on the inside, and there's still visible tread on the outside. could this be due to the 12" subs and box i put in the back, or am i looking at bent suspension parts? i'm thinking about an alignment, but since maxima IRS is non adjustable for camber, what can they do? i'm not sure shims would fix this much, should i look into camber plates?

they're not cheap, but available.

the other option is to go to a junkyard and buy a pair of the adjustable rear links off a wrecked Max. then drop your rear suspension out and replace the solid links with adjustables.. should be able to do it for under $100 and it'll give you quite a bit of adjustment.

I have 2 15s in my max and i'm an alignment tech so i can definitely answer this question for you. I just aligned my car last week b/c i noticed the same problem you are having on your tires on mine. My camber was fine, but it was the toe that was out. I seriously doubt that your subs are causing that much of a change in your suspension geometry unless you have worn springs and struts in the back. The way our rear suspension is designed doesn't allow for much change in camber. You should have the car aligned and also have them check for anything that may appear bent.

i seriously doubt it is the toe. my max looks pretty low in the rear. maybe it's just time for new springs/shocks (goodie, mod time!) but you can tell by looking at it that the tires are a little off in the camber dept. hadn't thought about toe, but i'll look into it. no sense in paying $60 for an alignment when i'll have to do it after putting in new springs/shocks anyway

<edit> i did my own 4 wheel brake job last summer, could i have messed something up doing that?

My car sits the same way yours does. I've noticed that Maximas tend to appear to sit lower in the back than in the front. Feel the outer edges of your tires. If you feel that they are feathered up any then most likely you have a problem with toe. My inner edges of my rears were wearing like hell but my tires weren't feathered at all and the only prob that i had was toe. If you have a camber prob you most likely have bent parts or worn springs/struts. Oh yeah, there isn't any way you could have messed your alignment up when doing brakes unless you used a BFH to take the rotors off and missed and hit the struts or something.
