thats not a nice thing to do to the car. Get a cheap car cover, else when it starts thawing out, your bumper will look like what mine looked like till i got it sanded and resprayed.

I live in western Michigan (lake effect snow every other day) and my VE 5spd has never gotten stuck with my Nokian Hakkapilletta 1 snow tires. They are not studded (but studdable if you want), but they are made in Finland, where they know a bit about snow
They also drive pretty nicely when the roads are dry too, and are only a little bit loud.
Im in Connecticut just got fresh 8 inches. The only driven I did today was too work and back and it was my frist time in snow cause I just got my license. But when I came home the only driven I did was with my snowmobile now those handle great in the snow! lol

I love my max's snow handling. I run 215/60/15 in the warmer weather, then switch back to stock size in the winter. I drove quite a bit today in the snow and had no problem. It also depends on HOW you drive in the snow. SOme people can sense it, some can't. I do know that manual trans is great for winter driving.
i was playin around in some empty parking lots tonight in the snow...and i cannot break the rear end loose (not using the ebrake of course) id head straight for a bit then cut the wheel to one side, and the rear wheels stay planted on the ground
we have snow and ice on the road here. i was having fun in the parking lot when i left work last night. as i was driving on the snow and ice covered roads to my girlfriend's house, i had a crazy experience. i was driving straight, wasn't on the gas or breaks, and all of the sudden my car got sideways. i almost hit the median and i was spinning all over the place. it was crazy!!! guess i hit a patch of ice or something. oh well. glad there were no other cars around. be careful out there on the snowy roads!!!

i've driven up the local mountain to go boarding with BALD TIRES and my max handled really good. all you need to do is be careful, drive slow and ease on the accelerator. couple of tips, when parking park so you can almost coast out of your spot, use brakes LIGHTLY, if going out of control point them front tires where you wanna be and give her some gas (usually i'll pull right out of a slide), drive 1/2 mile ahead of you, STAY CALM... anything can be saved until you actually hit the tree/other car/small sleding children/or santa's sleigh.
have fun and be safe

My car handles great in the snow...good ol' front wheel drive. I also leave my 17s on all year long...I have a set of Goodyear RSAs which are "high-performance all-season" tires, they aren't anything like snow tires, but they are great in dry weather, and pretty good in wet and icey weather too.

Nope, but when you are slowing down, you can downshift the tranny by selecting 3rd, then 2nd. This will keep you from locking up the wheels when trying to brake. Of course the best solution is a good set of snow tires.
