Idle control screw??

Is there any other way to adjust the idle speed of the car? I got the check eng. light a few days ago and turns out my CHTS whent out, but after i put the computer back to "normal" my idle speed sucks, and sometimes stalls it. But once i run it for a bit it clears up. But every time i get in the car after its been sitting, it stalls. Is the ECU still in some mode or is there another screw i can adjust to compensate.

The idle control screw is under a black cap on the idle air control valve which is located on the front right side of the vg's upper intake manifold. I really can't help you with the ECU question though.

How does it effect idle? Clark showed me that, and I cranked it up, but it didn't effect my idle at all, just cause it to suck in more air... Dropped my gas mileage a little bit and gave me a bit more power, that's it.
I adjusted my idle at the throttle when it was idling low, just had to play with it a bit because at a certain point it just started to walk away on me

The screw controls manually controls the amount of unmetered air let into the manifold. More or less air will raise or lower the idle. The ECU controls this through the IACV to keep a steady idle when you have accessories or any kind of load on the engine.

what would be a good place to put that screw? it doesn't mess with my idle very much but it really makes a lot of noise in the filter when i loosen the screw.
