Initially, I'd say it's random. But I'm more inclined to believe that it's based on how well you "know" the admin... if you know what I mean.

the posts about the next MOTM are usually always posted in the general forum. they don't make it to generation specific forums, as everyone is inclined to be a little more "patriotic" if you get my drift..
