Anyone install air horns on their 3rd gen? I bought my air horn set, and I'm looking for instructions on installing the horns. I can't locate teh stock horn, and I am not sure which wires I should cut.

the stock horns are right behind the front bumper/grill area. did your horns come with instructions?

After searching for "air horn" I found 76 threads. Anyways I found a link in one of them. http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/megamax/horns.html

IMO, airhorns make our Max sound like a clown car. but whatever floats your boat.

the horns on our car are located on the center support bracket right behind the grille.. they're about 2.5" round.

the rest of the instructions should come with the horns.. if you can't figure it out from there, you probably shouldn't be trying to install it yourself. (no offense intended, but they're a pretty simple job)

They do sound like clown cars! The horns are REALLY annoying though, I figure it is $25.00, if it helps prevent an accident one day, it will be well worth it. It is not like I'm going to be laying on the horn 24/7, but if I need to use them, as tehy were intended to be used for, I'd like them to catch somebodies attention.

Thanks for the info, I'm not great with cars, but I want to find out what the job entails before I take it on, my uncle will be helping me, and he's done everything to his s/ced Mustang. I think I am in good hands, with him and you guys at my side

4 speaker terminals blue
about 6 feet of 12 ga wire
2 ring terminals blue
a fuse holder
2 blue butt connectors
20 amp fuse glass or the red one (depends on the fuse holder u get)

Re: air horns

Mine only lasted about 3 months... (the first set)

The second set was a different brand and lasted a little longer, the 3rd set only lasted about 2 weeks because then my 90SE got totaled....I should put some on my Z for ****z and giggles.
