Grounding VTCs...

Grounding VTCs...

Whoa, wait a minute... I just read that if I ground my VTCs I lose power...is that true?

yes, you loose about 10 hp and I ain't loosin hp, I'm going to replace it immediately once they start ticking.

I'd much rather hear ticking than lose HP. I need that for embarassing Civics . I'll replace them eventually...

Well your bad VTCs are already not working very well and have gotten sloppy in controlling your cam timing. so in effect, you have already lost the power. Grounding the VTCs may take a bit more power away in some areas and give you more at some certain revs, but nothing will come close to have the VTCs working properly. so basically if you ground them, you get rid of the noise and you have a slightly different power curve than ungrounded. But both grounded/ungrounded has less power than working VTCs
