Stillen made a battery tie-down it looks good, I'm considering getting it. What do you guys think?

Yeah I spoke to the sales rep at stillen and he told me that it would fit our cars. He also told me they won't be in stock until 2 or 3 weeks. Oh yeah he said that the pic is of the tie-down installed on a 97 maxima.

SWA tie-down is ugly looking, and only $5.00 cheaper, I think the extra $5.00 is worth the Stillen tie-down.

Oh, I was thinking that that SWA were only 15 bucks. In that case, go with the Stillen

 

I've got the SWA tie down and the stillen one is on the way

I may just keep the SWA one though. I'm not too keen on having Stillen's name all over every little thing on my car. It's bad enough it's stamped on the front and rear of the kit and on the strut bar already...

 

how did you get? Did they ship already, my sales rep told me that it wouldn't be available until 2 or 3 weeks? Are they lying to me

 

not sure if it shipped or not but i saw it on the site last week and ordered it...i'll call on monday to see if it shipped or if it is on backorder

 

please inform me of what's going on, because if they did ship it out for you, then I have to call them and order.

 

if the name is just painted on there and not engraved, a little lacquer thinner will take it right off.

 

awwwww...but then whats the point of buying it? u gotta go w/ the brand...btw, the thing looks sharp, but cmon...a battery tie down only costs like 10 bucks

 

but remember this is stillen who makes this product. I mean I hope this tie-down is top notch quality stuff for that price.

 

it looks like it's stamped like the strut bar and kit. it'll be getting polished w/ everything else so the paint will be removed.

D-sta it should be pretty good quality. From the pic it looks to be similar or the same material as their strut bar.

looks good but will it fit over an aftermarket battery? my optimus is kinda wide
anyway D-sta if you do order it let me know mabey we could spilt the shipping if I get one too.

 

when I order I will tell you. If you can use the stock one on the optimus, then I guess the stillen bar will fit.

I don't know about if it comes with new bolts, I hope it does, it should for $40.00. If anything I will paint the stock bolts and the j shaped bars with a black spray can.
