DUUUUUUUUUDE - if yall havent already...put a hyperwhite under the gear shift for the letters. "P N R D 1 2" it's dank as hell!take off that lid (pops right off), unscrew the 4 holding it in place, twist the wire and the bulb will come out w/ a green bulb condom on it. stick a hyperwhite in it and it's SO tight.

it's clash of the 'SLANGS'
everyone talks different from city to city man.

we might see the light and say it's phatted up, hype, tight, badd, or just nod and say 'seen' (you get the idea)
but to some people it's like: WOW DUDE! THAT'S SO D A N K!!!

i just learned to keep my kardi slang under control on the org. because i didn't expect everyone to understand.

I know what you mean though.

we know what dank is.

but we're trippin' on how you used it here, whether it was a typo or not.

sorry for whorin' the thread with b.s.
but sometimes you can't help but ramble on about nuthin'.

and yes changin' the light below the shifter with a blue or hyper-white bulb does look nice.

try adding led's behind the heater/ac unit buttons. looks great.
i'll be doing that plus adding led's to many other switches and buttons throughout the car.
i've already added blue leds to the ash tray and cigarette lighter.
unfortunately they don't have aftermarket bulbs for that size bulb.
leds are more work, but look so much nicer at night.

It'll be DANK as hell.

you have to remove the ac/heater unit to change those bulbs. they're extremely small bulbs. it'll look good when i do it. but it'll be a b!tch to complete.

You probably already know but just in case you dont...you will also need to take off each sticker from each button because they have a green film on them that needs to be scraped off to change colors.

I did it the easy way by scraping off the green and changed them to blue using a permanent blue marker...you have to get a large tip marker and do several coats (letting it dry between coats) but you have to watch it or you will make it streak.

i knew about the green film.
but didn't think about using a marker. excellent idea man. a little ghetto, but it works and is quicker.

Are the SE AC control units green too? Because I believe the Dash gauges were clear right? If the SE AC units are clear too, wouldn't it be easy to just to a junk yard for the SE unit, and then color in the buttons and swap them? I could be completely wrong, and be thinking about the 4th Gen AC units. But I think this would be easier.

yep you are completely wrong...well not completely because the guages are clear in an SE the se and gxe use clear bulbs (no condoms) in the ac unit.

all 3rd gen.(se or gxe) have the green tint on the buttons. I dont know about the 4th gen working though.
