I just put on my 5th Gen one off of Ebay. It fits perfectly.

I got this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1876503836
Looks similar to the STeaLLIN one. I took some gum cutter(carb cleaner) to the stupid logo and it came right off.

it looks exactly like the stillen, I think I might change my FSTB with that one.

I just fitted a 4:th gen(Bomz 35$) on my max, but it won´t be there for long. As soon as the snow is gone I will put it on my 280zx.

for some reason, I have a feeling that wont fit

you can thank LordRandall and Bman for doing lots of testing (at their own expense) to find which bar actually fits the VE

Would the procarparts one fit on an 89? Also is the 99-02 FSTB from courtesy cheaper than the earlier year ones?

Thanks.

yes, the VG doesn't usually have problems with fitting the strut bars, it's just the high manifold on the VE that causes problems

I'm not sure if it's cheaper 1(800) 527-1909 7a-7p CST, www.courtesyparts.com

Thanks for the info. I didnt see a strut bar offered for the 89-93 maximas on the courtesy website, although I did see them for the 95-99 for 49.00 and 2000+ for 59.00. By looking at these posts it seems like they should all fit the maxima's with the VG right? Just curious. At least the 95-99 should fit my 89 VG right?

Thanks again.
Steve

From what I've seen, its the 2000+ ones that will fit, not the 95-99 ones.

I know, Bman was the first to get the bar from Stealthmax

check out that link - LordRandall tried the procarparts one and it did NOT fit so I was trying to let you know before you bought it

The one I bought from Carparts.com was for 3rd and 4th gen, and was listed to fit the VE. You can see that it didn't on my homepage.

<-----

I did see the billet AL 5th gen FSTB on carparts.com, and it looks like it would clear the AC hose, and the intake manifold, but I was worried about the hood clearance. You are welcome to try it tho.

So we agree that the 00+ strut bar will fit on a 1992 GXE?

I dont see why it would not fit. If it fits the VE engine it will have no problems fitting the lower sitting vg engine!

Same here grayghost. I live in New Zealand & I need to know the part number & with model will fit my 93 VG. Because I don't want to modify the bar in anyway

Here are a few pics of the one i got off of eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6767

The first one shows how much clearance you have between the brace and the coilpacks. The next kinda shows the looks of it which i think is the same as the stillen one except i took the logo off of it. Hope this helps out any of you guys out there with VEs looking for a FSTB. Ohh yeah, this one is for a 5th gen.

Looks good, how did you remove the logo off the bar, did you just peel it off?
