Transmission diagnostics

Have anybody tried to read transmission computer diagnostic codes?

As far as I know transmission computer is located behind the central dash just above ECU. But according to Haynes it doesn't need to be touched to read codes.

Haynes describes some sequence of actions to be done to get O/D OFF lamp flashing out stored codes. But I never can get this working.

Did anybody have success with it?

Oh, and YES, I DID a search

Found it!

Ok, ok. I continued doing the search and found it finally!

Craig!!! Thanks again

The problem was that in my Haynes manual there is O/D OFF lamp mentioned. But in reality it is Power indicator in P/C switch.

I think that such things should be put in FAQ somewhere...
