Significant others

Does anyone else find that their fiance/girlfriend/wife isn't as thrilled about a new pop charger, hyperwhite headlights or any other mod as they are?? haha!!

Guess I'm lucky... my wife bought me my dash kit and lots of other goodies for the car. she also bought most of my air tools and my floor jack for a christmas present last year.

she doesn't like me spending huge $$ on the car, but small stuff she doesn't care. new amps or head unit, yeah I sleep on the couch for a day or two.. new brake pads or rotors, no problem. (the fact she doesn't know my brakes were more than the head unit will stay a secret tho!)

just be sure to buy the woman something every now and then....

the first mod you buy after you forget a birthday/anniversary/holiday/whatever, it will be a symbol of how much more you love the car than you love her........

My girlfriend is the same, she hates me doing anything to my car. She wants me to save my money for a house. But, I love her & my car. At least she paid for my tints She is behind when I buy sumething, but she doesn't want me to become a boy racer!

No more GF woes for me. High maintenance is tough to deal with. Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing yet..need a rebound hookup quick..

I guess I am the lucky one. My fiance is a little high maintenace as it is, but she is okay with me spending money on my rides. Well, spending money on the mustang is okay, but it is hard for me to convince her that spending money on an 8 year old Maxima is a necessity. She bought the Saleen kit for my Cobra, so that is pretty cool. She doesn't say too much, because I will have the house that I bought paid off in under 18 months. So, wehn we get married this summer, we will only have a house payment for about a year or so. If we ever needed money, we could get it. Her parents own 4 different car dealerships, the big one being a BMW dealership. She drives a friggin X5.

It could be worse, we could all get put out of the house if we spent money on the cars.

My wife could care less about cars. She really doesnt care if I spend money on my projects because I have always had one or two at a time since we met. As long as I take care of her and my kids first its fine...of course that is why I am not finished with the 93 (dang parental responsabilities j/k).

I did promise her that my 93 was the last project this year.

I guess I'm sorta like mtcookson in the fact that I don't have to deal with GF problems. Although I see more than my share of women (yeah - pimpin' AIN'T easy I tell ya...), they're all as nice to me as I am to them, and support my proclivity for extravagant automotive purchases.
jeez - did I just say proclivity???
