Daytime running lights problem

Hi,

I have a 1990 Max GXE. When I start up the car, the daytime running lights turn on for a couple of minutes. But after that, they just turn off mysteriously! Does anyone know what the problem could be

I didn't even know that the Maxima's that old had DRL's? If I were you, I'd search before you post, otherwise you'll probably get flammed to death!! Be careful!!

Canadian Maximas have the daytime running lights; US do not

sorry, run2thesun, I'm not sure what's wrong with the car - just clearing up the DRL thing

Yeah my Max is Canadian. The lights turn on for a couple of minutes and then just turn off

DRL

My Maxima had the same problem, the DRL's would work when they wanted to. I removed the DRL module and took it apart. Found a couple of loose solder joints in the module. Resoldered them and have not had a problem since. If you need another module let me know I think I have one kicking around.
