Daytime Running Light Problem

Daytime Running Light Problem
Mine is a 93' Max. Canadian Model. The Daytime Running Light has been acting strangely these few months. While the car is running during the day, the daytime running light keeps turning on and off automatically. Has it ever happened to your car? Is it the problem of the Daytime Running Control Unit or the Relay? Where are they located?

Hi
The Daytime Light Control Unit is located under the dash behind the brake pedal or there abouts. It is piggy backed with the Time Control Unit so look for two modules about 2 1/2" square by about 3/4" deep. I have one if you find that you need one.

are you talking about the relay (brown or blue) or a relay inside the control unit? i opened mine already, but i broke the cover.. that's alright i think.. i looked at the circuit board carefully, and i can't find any problem with joints or print.. i really can't tell any problem with anything inside the control unit.. but i just soldered all connectors' "foot" anyway.. really give me headache..

Once you have the cover taken off, (yeah, it broke on mine too). The joints that I resoldered were the 4 connections on the 2 relays that are on the circuit board. They didn't look bad but I resolderd them anyways. Have not had a problem since.
