transmission problem!! Help please

Well i guess i came to the conclusion that my tranny has finnaly had it after last night on the freeway my car decided to stop accelerating. i already know(or at least pretty darn sure) that its the tranny cuz it wont go into gear, no matter what i put it in, reverse, drive, or 2nd or 1st. i get nothing. it turns on, and i can rev, but no movement. so im wondering where to get a new tranny or hopefully if someone can tell me im wrong and say what it is that will help out a whole lot. thanks in advance for all that help

1. check tranny fluid level.
if it's low, fill it up and hope you didn't ruin the tranny.

2. if it's got fluid, then have the car towed to a tranny shop because there's nothing you can do at this point other than have someone rebuild/replace it.
