Ok guys, here's the thing. I'm driving along and going about 45 mph in a 55 and I noticed that the transmission won't shift up into 4th gear? So, I push the Overdrive button, and nothing happens!! So, I'm cruising along going about 50 mph now at about 3300 RPM? Does anybody know what the problem could be? Thanks a lot!! BTW, my tranny is an automatic.

 

is it really cold outside? hass the engine/tranny had time to warm up?

if not, then it may not shift into O/D because of the temp. it will when it's warmed up. sometimes takes 10-15 minutes on cold days.

 

Matt is right. On really cold days it takes a while for my max to shift into overdrive. I thought it was my tranny but it only happens for the first 5-10 mins of driving and then it will shift into O/D.
