This question goes out to you VG30E owners
Hey guys, I'm having this ECU problem with my 2nd gen. I posted something in the 2nd gen site but haven't got bites. Since 3rd gens have the VG30E also, maybe one of you guys may know what is going on.
Alright, for the past 2 days I've been trying to figure the ECU diagnostics out. I've been trying to get to mode III to check codes. This is what I did. Turn the ignition to on, but didn't start the motor. Check to make sure both inspection lights are on. Then I turn the mode selector fully clockwise. Now this is where I get confused. Isn't the ECU suppose to blink both lights to indicate the mode? If so, I'm not getting that. My guess is my ECU is giving a codes right off the bat. This is what I get with the Red blinks 2 times, then green blinks 3 times. Then a few seconds later red blinks 3 times, and green blinks 1 time. This then repeats. So those experienced ECU tester people. Am I interpreting this right that I'm getting a Code 23 and a code 31? If so, guess I got a throttle switch to replace, and have to find. As for the code 31, this would indicate ECU input signal being beyond normal range. Any ideas what could cause this? I'm wondering if it has something to do with my positive battery connections. The connector it self is in crappy condition, and I've also notice a fusible link is basic gone.
