????

i have a 3rd generation max and i pretty sure my amps are blown...a constant buzzing sound which increases in it pitch with more rpms...but when the car is on and the engine is not running, the speakers are fine. I was wondering if i could use amps from a 95 max and put them into my 89 max?? And if so ..will they work just as good?

what you're hearing is engine/alternator noise. you have a bad ground somewhere. check it out before you spend money replacing everything.

yes and if you amps are going bad they will make thumping noises, I bypassed mine and run them of the aftermarket head unit and have a separate amp for my subs.
