New Distributer cap and rotor, now my radar is buggin out!! wtf

New Distributer cap and rotor, now my radar is buggin out!! wtf

ok i just replaced the cap and rotor, and now one of them is seting my radar off all the time (lazer)... its really ****ing me off.. cant anyone help ?

-have you ever had a problem like this?

I've read a few posts where people complain that the average auto zone cap and rotors cause problems with their radar detectors. The solution would be to buy nissan parts.

dont think so. I know my freinds cell phone sets mine off all the time, so I guess anything is possible.

I had the same problem and put it up in a post a while back. I had gotten a dist cap from Advanced auto, they carry Sorenson or something. Mine started going off when I hit certain rpms. Its the cap you got. The next night I went to AutoZone and got a cap made by Wells and it cured the problem. I posted to try and keep folks from wasting their money like I did on the Advanced Auto dist. cap. You dont have to use the Nissan one, the Wells at Autozone is OEM for many makes and works great!

Ok ill try that but the cap that i bought was like 44 bucks but i LOLed in the guys face and said," i can get that cap for 25 bucks at auto zone!" he was like" ok" 25 bucks it is.. ill change thte cap and see what happens thanx for the info

The Nissan cap is like $29 from Courtesy.

i think ill stick with the auto zone cap

auto zone is 10 min away from my house and the cap is 15 bucks... i have used it before and no problems, do you think the other auto store will take a used cap and give me my money back?
