I saw these on ebay the other day.

and the guy says it will fit a vg30e. so I imagine this will fit the max. Just wondering if i were to purchase this what kind of hp gains would i get. I am a newbie so don't flame me about searching because i tried but didnt find anything of use unless i searched wrong. i figure i could get my cousin who is a real tech head type guy to help me put these on if i were to get them. What do you think? worth the money or what?

Hmm those are VG30 heads. However there are issues, first without a 88-89 VG30 block there is no way to install "twin cam" heads. Also the stock heads won't flow anywhere near 300hp NA even if they are ported, Nissan motorsports sells race VG30 heads just for that reason and these aren't it. I'd advise contacting the seller and asking for pics of the combustion chamber and the valves.

Unless the car was totalled the only other reason to remove "ported heads" is if the engine was blown. Also find out what valves and retainers/springs the heads use. Ported heads are great when used with aftermarket camshafts. I've seen gains of 10-35hp with cams + headwork.

THe guy said its for yes it is for the vg30e single overhead cam turbo or non turbo so i imagine its only a single cam head. As for the other parts i have yet to ask him but as the auction says i guess this guy was looking to get twincams or whatever an thats why he is selling it. As for the other info i just sent him an email and I'll share the info in case other are looking into this as soon as i get a reply.
