guys im havin' some trouble with my rear right brakes. i went to my shop today and installed my new brake pads and they went in perfectly fine on the left side. now when i went to the right side to change them only one of those thing that slide in with the black little rubber protector goes in into the bracket and the other doesnt'. but im not sure if its like that??? cuz i didn't notice it on the other side if both those things went in??? well, i hammered and hammered and nothin' my damn caliper won't go in. mind u that i already turned the piston back into the caliper all the way and still nothin'. so i just left it like that but either way i think im gonna need a whole new strut. well, if u guys can help me in tellin' me if both those things goes into the bracket or not???

yes they do.. that's probably what's causing your rear brake problems. both of those pins are supposed to slide.

best way I've found to free them up is to unbolt the good one, then twist the caliper up.. back down.. up.. etc.. eventually, it'll pop loose and you can remove it..

then you need to REPLACE it. they're about $10-12 at the dealer.

And no, you won't need a new strut. there's another set of bolts past those that hold the caliper onto the strut. if you can't get the pin to move without ruining the caliper, then just replace it and move on.

u mean leave the caliper in place and take out one of the bolts that bolts onto the pins and just move the caliper up and down??? cuz if thats what ur tryin' to say then i should go and try it. i'll let u know if it works man. good lookin' out matt.
