My New GReddy SP

I understand that the GReddy SP catback is probably not worth $600 (I paid $500), but I just bought a new one. My old one was used, and it failed, after being on it's 4th maxima.

Sure it cost too much, but I would just like to know if anyone who has it, is not as completely pleased with it as I am. It is the best sounding, nearly stock, very quiet for a performance exhaust, and it looks great too.

I love mine but...

I noticed yesterday my resonator is starting to rust (and I'm in TX too...not like it's NE here) as well as various other parts of the piping.

I'm gonna have to shell out money and get it all powdercoated or something. GReddy is gay for just painting the piping. Still love it though.

Send it to this good ol MS company called Jet Hot coatings and get it coated. They did the headers for one of my friends and they are awesome. Hasnt rusted at all in several years...they do inside and out.

There are probably other companies doing the coatings now but at the time (8 or 9 years ago) they were one of the only ones.

Yeah, my old one was rusted a bunch....it came from Cleveland by way of a couple other places, but I just got it patched. Rust was not my problem. The muffler section failed and started kicking the stuffing out of the tailpipe. It kicked it all out until all that was left was the center pipe rolling around in the inside of the muffler.

Noisy, I bet. But hey, at least it lasted for a good while being on 4 different cars, you know?
