what year bose to buy
what year bose to buy
I know most everyone hates the bose system. I have to currently fix my amps. I was curious which year cd player to buy. I would like to buy one with the least chance of the dreaded err code. Thanks for your help.

I would get rid of the bose system. For the money you would **** way on the amps, you could buy a better sounding system. The amps are very expensive from the dealer and you never know what u get from a junk yard. Check out www.crutchfeild.com for the cd player that works with the bose tapedeck radio. I believe its about $200-250. If u really want to keep the bose system, I have all the amps and speakers. If you are interested email me or respond in this post.

my amps went bad and I bypassed them. I put in an aftermarket cd player and a sub with separate amp. If I were you I would do something like this if you plan to keep the bose speakers in your car. I do plan to get MB Quartz in the future but my current setup works fine for now.
For me, for my CD Player, I rewired my receiver harness to work with a Bose receiver from a 2000 Infiniti. It's basically the same harness in the 4th gen, and I personally think they look better than having the stock receiver and the sony cd player add-on. I've had a few minor errors with the system, but it's pretty easy to learn how to avoid it, mostly it was just the cd being stuck inside. I noticed every time I pressed eject when the car was off, it gave me this error until I fished the CD out. Other than that, I haven't had any problems since.

It wires right up...just as the stock sony cd player. Call or email the people at crutchfeild. I was thinking about buyin it for the clarion system in my maxima but changed my mind and I decided to buy an aftermarket cd player for the same price.
