What does the EGRC solenoid do?

I am looking for a 3rd gen part but I don't know the part number or specific name. So I'm hoping the EGRC solenoid is what I looking for, or the EGR.
Does anyone have any pics of what these look like?

exhaust gas recirculate solenoid, its a small solinoid that is in the vacuum path heading to the EGR valve (top of the EGR). The ECU controls when the EGR valve opens and closes by the EGRC solenoid which is controlling the vacuum from the engine.

What are you looking to do?

I bought a variable intake manifold for my car but I need a vacuum solenoid that will open and close the manifold. I was told that the 3rd gen maxima has one and so I'm looking for one or a good picture so maybe my local junkyard might have one.

I think you are trying to ask for a "Power Valve Actuator". This part ONLY comes in the 92-94 SE 5spds. That is the only 3rd gen that has a variable intake. I didn't know 4th gens can use our power valve actuator.

I thought most of them used window switches.

They do use a window switch but they also need this part for the vacuum system to get the variable intake to work properly.
The 92-94 is the VE30DE engine right?
So this "power valve actuator," it has the 3 vacuum ports and the electrical port?
Do you have a a picture of what it looks like?

Yes, the 92-94 SE has the VE30DE motor.

I'm not sure if it has 3 vacuum ports and an electrical port. Since I don't have a VE 5spd, I don't have any good pics. I only have a Chilton's type pic of the VE motor with everything labeled. If you want it posted, please ask. It only shows the location of the actuator.

Since us VE guys haven't done the MEVI swap, we don't know too much about it. It seems like you would get more info in the 4th gen forum. Many of those guys have done the swap and know exactly what is needed for the job.

I have asked in the fourth gen forum but have got any answers I'm looking for. I was hoping I could come here and get the exact name of the part so I could order it or something but still not completely sure at this moment.
If you could post that diagram that would be cool.

This is a drawing of the VE30DE motor. Please disreguard the red circle, I was showing someone where the KS sub-harness connector is on the VE.

I'm sorry I can't help you any more than this. Find a 4th genner that has done the MEVI swap and then chat with him. Nealoc comes to mind. There are many others.

That's a good diagram. The power valve actuator is not what I'm looking for. What I need is what the PVA connects to.

electrically or for the vaccum??

and just in case you were still wondering the PVA on the VG has 2 vaccum ports and one electrical...most likely the same for the VE 5spd and VQ as well.

What I'm lookign for has 3 vacuum ports and an electrical port.
How about the "Power valve control solenoid valve"? Does that have the 3 and 1?
