Hey everyone. I just got back from winter break in Japan. Took a few car pictures that I will scan a share with yah in a few days.

I've been away from the forum for a while and need to know a few things.

I need to order new clear corners for my 91 SE. Does anyone know any place cheaper than courtesy that is online so I can use my credit card?

Also I'm changing the bulbs behind my speedometer. I don't remember the person on the board that did this. Can someone tell me if those where 194 bulbs and how many?

Thanks.

and the dash light question, i dunno about the size, but i was wonderin, if they are 194, what if you put the blue moodlight bulbs in there, would they be bright enough to see through the instrument panel?

Damn thats a nice Max!!!

Fast4en changed the dash bulbs. lightningmotorsports.com has clear corners for $48, but not much of a difference from Courtesy, maybe $2.

Dash Lights

I just replaced those about a week ago. Those bad boys are 194's!! I was so happy when I found that out cuz I put xenon bulbs there. The original bulbs were clear with a blue covering on them. The Xenon bulb produce the same color light, but 2x brighter. BIG improvement. Much clearer and fills up the whole display. If you put colored bulbs back there, they wont give enought light through the lenses for you too see anything, even at the brightest setting. Try to find Xenon Gas Filled 194 bulbs. APC may have them. If I find a link to a co that has them, then I will post it. I order them from a local parts store and im not sure of their source. Good luck.

Re: Dash Lights

I didn't know they make xenon 194's. I have APC Xenon 9004 for my heads and love them. Okay now the question is where can I get xenon 194's?

Thanks everyone.

I think that the bulbs i have are by Tucan. Check them out. I have the same APC headlight bulbs as you. Although the melted my wiring harnesses...

Does Tucan have a website or is there a website that sells them. So far all I could find are ultrawhite PIAA 194's.

Hah your wire got fried huh? That's why I upgraded my wiring harness before switching to the APC xenon 9004's.

Back to the search.

the 194's should hurt anything right (wires and such)? Dabox, what color does your dash appear now with the bulbs?

thanks for the info

The 194's shoulndt hurt anything. They do run hotter than the regular bulbs, but they are only 194s. Not nearly hot enough to damage wires. When I have the lights dimmed a little, the cluster looks exactly the way it did before I replaced them. When I brightened them up all the way, they still look white, but with a little blue tint but not too much. After a while the brightness grows on you and it will look normal to you. The bulbs are very good as a replacement for the stock bulbs. There isnt much else you can do to that area of lighting because there isnt much power going there. But it looks good with the gray trim.
