ve turbo update

hey everybody hey what going on. I just picked up the max a few days ago. I have been running with a open wastegate (not boosting) I did this before I shipped the car from HI. my brother was suppose to pick the car up, and drive from n.j to m.a. I didnt trust him ( he has a heavy foot) and i didnt want him to blow the motor. I put about 1100.mile with the turbo, I have been boosting around 7psi on a daily basis before I left. I had a few minor problems, kink in the oil return line and blew the seals out the turbo, went up my parents steep driveway, and my down pipe scraped so hard that I broke a weld off the main bracket that holds the turbo in place, finally got my stillen ft lip, and no tools to put it on (got to protect that fmic),got 18x9 rims that fit my car without rubbing, but the inside radius is too small for my 12.5 rotors, forgot to mention that I also left the brackets I made for my 300zx calipers in hawaii, when I started the project, I decided to rebuild my tranny slap in a act clutch, lightweight flywheel, and replace the bearings, I put the tranny back together and forgot to put one of the shaft spring/ball in the tranny, so every know and then when I put the car in revears the shaft move and meshes the wrong gear and im stuck in first. Its been snowing so I havent been able to work on the car and I promise everyone Ill make the maxima meet this sat, All my tools and things are in storage because I havent found a place. ( homeless living inside of a maxima)and my wife wants me to sell the car because she thinks I spend more time on the car than I do with her.
I got the case of the maxima blues

Man, what a horror story. Keep up the work on the Max if you can, but family comes first man!

i dont care how hot she is a turbo ve comes way before the family congradulations and it seems like youve been having the normal problems with a custom turbo setup but youll get all the little kinks worked out eventually and then it will be one hell of a fun car to drive good luck AND GET TO THE DYNO AND TRACK

How about some pictures of the final setup with the FMIC for all of us to see...

I only remember seeing some pics of the setup at the beginning when Klown posted it.

At least you're back on the main land. There will probably be a time when you might start agreeing with your wife due to obstacles, but you've done a lot so far. Good luck, keep it going if/when you can

I'm in Stoughton. If you wanna meet up and dyno you could always bring it to Martel Racing in NH. That's who Avalon Racing uses for their dynos. I guess we could go to NED after that if you would like? I can bring the Jeep so if you blow the engine I can tow it to your house and put all the pieces that it shot out in the back? LOL I'm outta school next week so just make a date and we'll chill..
