Gee....where do I start? I purchased bosch (damn I feel stupid I spelled bosch wrong before)cap and rotor and the parts failed on me after 200-300 miles (in the middle of the summer of '02). 2 years ago....After using the bosch platinum wires(the wires that cost about $180 and are "supposed to be longer lasting") for a year....I preformed my yearly one year tune up and when I went to pull out my wires....they literally fell apart. I was ****ed off. And on top of that...the plugs didn't last as long as they should have. To make a long story short.....Don't waste your money buying bosch products. But if you do use bosch products for your tune up....make sure you have AAA to bail you out of a bad situation.

interesting....I've used the standard replacement $60 Bosch wires, Bosch cap and rotor for my last couple of tuneups, never had a problem with any of the components and the wires have never "fallen apart" on me. Bosch has been good to me

get under the passenger side so that your facing the back of the glove box. you'll need a light and a paper and a pen. now while your facinng up under the glove box locate a brass or silver or gold box.. there is a series of number on it.. copy it and then make certain that you get every digit. It should say keyless entry or security, and that box has alot of wires coming out of it.. you'll know what i am talking about. now take your keys and lock the door and wait till the security light on the maxima dash light goes out~wait 30 seconds~it goes out.. that means the system is armed... now press the strt button, usually its a red button. then enter the numbers you got off the box.. after you have dont that you will hear a series of beeps, dont worry this means that the maxima is waiting for a new securtiy code.

now enter a 4-8 digit code.

st/crl___pwrwind_______trunk_________lock
_12_______34_____56______78________ 09

basically dont repeat the numbers.example... dont put the code 12328
1 and 2 are the same button, that is not allow...

what is a good code..

391826.....

the same key is not repeated..

ok once you entered the digits

for example...

press the start/clr key then enter the numbers you found on the box

then it beeps

then enter your code ex..
391826 and then let it beep until it stops

you should hear another beep which confirms it.

your done.

now you should be able to open the door..

use the key open the door and then close it.. now wait til it arms

now try your new code.

press start and then the new code. and vuala... it opens the door.. press the trunk key and the trunk opens press the window key and hold it the front windows will lower , if you have a sunroof, press the window button again and hold it the power moon roof should
open...

have fun..
its good to have the key code just incase you lock your key in the trunk or in the maxima itself. not that its never happen to me:nervious: well not that much anyways

I'm interested in finding out as well, I've been seeing them in the JC Whitney catalogue.
As for the Bosch stuff, I haven't had a problem with them at all in 40k miles

I wish the bosch products I bought worked out for me as they did for you. With all that money I wasted I ended up.......

I bought a set of Vitek wires for my car, and I felt absolutely no difference than the stock wires, which were made by Yazaki.

I probably wouldn't "feel" any difference in different sets of wires unless the ones I replaced were going bad anyway.

In retrospect I would've used the 100 and some odd dollars for something else adn kept my stock wires.
