Transmission

Hey I have a 1994 nissan maxima that was built in february of 94. I need the trainee rebuilt and I had a wild idea of putting a manual in because I hate my automatic but I got the car for a reasonable price thats why I have or I would of waited to for a manual maxima which would be ubelievable. Anyway Im wondering what the average price is out there and if someone could quote it to me so I could go around and not getting jipped, also if anyone lives in the eastern massachusetts area please tell me of some good trainee shops, I.M. me if you have any comments or just leave a thread and I'll respond

Ok first that is one big run on. I admit I have run on sentences but man. Second what do you need a trainee rebuilt for did he screw up during training? Ok ok I am just messing with the newbie here and dont mean anything by it

as far as a transmission (or tranny not trainee) swap it will vary from place to place. Just check prices from several shops in your area. Remember price isnt everything...be sure to use a reputable shop.

Good luck.

If you have to ask you probably can't afford it In all reality you would have a whole lot less trouble to just find a manual. The other option is to stick with the auto and do what you can with it. For the price of swapping to a manual you could probably bolt on most of the after market parts out there and still have some change left over.
