shift and brake boot

1st I would like to say I HATE this new color scheme. It hurts my eyes and is hard to read.

To the point. Anyone know where I can get some aftermarket leather shift and brake boots, preferably a black one with red stitching?

Thanks

he used to have one up thereI think.. I remember him doing one a while back..

your next bet is a upholstery shop. buy the color of leather/vinyl you want and take them your old boot. they'll have the threas and everything else and the ability to sew them up and make 'em purdy. probably a lot cheaper than buying one online somewhere too. if you have everything out of the car and ready to go, then they'll probably do it in just a few minutes and charge a $20 or so. that's of course if they're not swamped with business.....

Go to the GD forum. DanNY was doing a GD, don't know if it's still on.

Group Deal

Dan's group deal was for 5th and 4th Gens. He said that the 3rd Gens are coming soon but it's been over a month and I need a shift boot and brake boot now. I will look around for an upholstery shop.

Dan, the ebrake has a plastic cover which is stock. But it can easily be cut off to accomodate a leather brake boot. I cut mine off and I'm currently running a vinyl shift boot and brake boot. I would like to get two matching black leather with red stitching shift boot and brake boot. That's why I have been waiting for the next group deal so I can get the pair at the same time and have it match. But if it's possible to get just the shift boot now and get a matching brake boot later, I'm willing to pay now for the shift boot.

it's on my page like Matt said
in how-to under "homemade shifter and ebrake boots"
I ended up taking out the brake boot but the shift boot is still there and works great
whole thing cost me about $5
