We love to watch her strut...
I'm finally getting new struts for my '89 GXE, which still has her original factory struts, believe it or not. Any suggestions as to what kind I should get? I'm looking for good performance at a price that won't send my wife through the roof.
I got Tokico and B&G springs for my 94 and it looks PHAT !! Doesnt ride real bumpy...but you can feel sharp dips more. Wish I could get my pics to load on Cardomain so everyone can see them. I'm having some kinda problem....can anyone help?
KYB Gr-2's are nice for the price. You can buy them from www.foreignautoparts.cc for like 210-220 shipped. You can get tokico's for like 300.00 shipped.
KYBs are nice, and better than stock... but they haven't lasted as long as the tokicos. I'm going to have to get new struts in the front now and I've only had the KYBs on for around 2 years (most of wich the car wasn't even driving).
If you're just replacing stock struts with say, KYB GR2s, do you need to replace the springs? How do you tell if the springs are worn out?
I know my stock struts are definitely worn and was thinking about replacing them. Not really interested in any drop, hence I only want to replcae the springs if it's necessary.

Usually stock springs don't go bad. They would have to be put through a lot of stress in order to mess up. Also if there is a lot of rust on them thats a bad sign also, eventually rust corrodes the spring and makes it weak, thats a good indication of when you need new springs.
