quick yes or no
quick yes or no
after months of having to replace coolant in my car every day....finally found the obvious problem..a coolant hose had a hole in it and no one (dealership, autozone, etc) could tell me the exact hose that was needed...even after looking at it...baffled me!! But, ordered a hose nissan recommended (bout $27) and should be here thursday.....i noticed something else too though....i have coolant leaking slowly from the crankshaft pulley....does this mean the water pump is on its last mile...search is not working, so i need a quick yes or no!! Appreciate it fellas!!
wait, you have *coolant* leaking from your crank pulley? i've got oil leaking from mine, at least i'm pretty sure it's oil.
could someone tell me a) how oil and coolant could leak from the same place and b) how a coolant leak could indicate a bad water pump? does that just mean the seals in the pump are going bad?

yes the seal on the WP is going bad and it is behind the timing belt cover so it leaks down to the nearest opening which is around the crank pulley. The oil leaks there because the crank seal which is behing the pulley is leaking.
