Failed Vtc Make You Stall Hesitate!!

Ive owned several nissans and infinitis and Ill tell you what there is nothing even close to the stalling, stuttering and missing that the VG30de displays. The Gxe stalling is a entirely different animal. Ive heard about people replacing coils, Maf, knock sensors , ecu's etc. This is just human nature denying the inevitable the damn Vtc's make you stall. Your timing , ignition, and ecu are no longer on the same page. Why do u think the Vg30dE was was cancelled after 94? Nissans not dumb they ****ed up and they know it. How many people replace all thier coilpacks and thier MAF on a pathfinder, pickup, q45, 89-91 max ,95-98 max? Not many....all of Us Ve owners are stubborn thinking our 92-94 maxima se is the exception to the rule. Look at all the posts ...its not.
When nissan issued its Tsb these engines mostly had around 60,000 miles now with most of our cars 10+ years old and around 160,00o we are finding out just how severe this vtc stuff is.

a) you only joined this group to *****. you name pretty much says that.
b) you got the name of the engine wrong. it's the v-E-30de.
c) are you helping anyone here?
d) vtc's are a problem but they don't degrade performance if they fail. they just stop helping.
e) i've only been in this forum a short time but i don't recall seeing any trolls until now.

You are truly a stupid human. You don't even have your engine codes right but you want to talk shop and act like you know what you are doing.

- it is the VE30DE not the VG30DE. The VG30DE was never installed in a Maxima.

- Post your survery data showing that less people have done maintenance on their Q45s, Pathfinders... Don't have any? Didn't think so. STFU.

- The reason no one has replaced coilpacks on their 89-91 Maximas IS BECAUSE THEY DON"T HAVE ANY.

- Show us where anyone has claimed to have "magic self healing VTC pixie dust." Can't do that either? Didn't think so. STFU.

- Sell your Maxima and get the **** out. Goodbye.

You know what's funny

Most auto parts store (including the dealer) has the VE engine listed in their data base as a VG30DE. "Some" dealers parts dept rep wouldn't know a VE is if you took them outside and pop the hood, but if you say I have a DOHC engine in my 92-93 Max they will say yeah you do it's the VG30DE. This is why when I'm ordering specific part item from the dealer I make sure I have my VIN handy to end all confusion.

To get back to the original post, I understand his fustration is was a crapy design by Nissan and 10+ yrs later most VE owners are starting to see how crapy design it is but I don't think most of these stalling are due to faulty VTC.

Re: Re: Re: Failed Vtc Make You Stall Hesitate!!

Looks like I strucka nerve!!

Oh i get it you are one of those
"I reset my ecu and poof my car is fixed!"
isnt there a page about a useless Vtc grounding technique somewhere? ... or are you I bought a couple of resistors at radio shack and my engine is back!?

make sure you spend all day cleaning every electrical connection twice and dont forget to replace your MAF six times!

vg30de IS a common alt. pack code reference

and yes that was a generalization for all nissan engines...even those without coilpacks.....but how many knock sensors and Maf fail on any sohc maxima........hmmmmmmm
