Ya guys might want to check it out
doesn't matter what kind of shape they are in, you'll have a heck of a time trying to get it on. the turbo sits right where the motor mount is and is really close to radiator. i'll have pictures of mine up of what we did on mine soon. eta for my car running, monday!

I still need to do a few more things like get the exhaust and the intake piping done but that should all be finished monday. what i really need to do is get some heat wrap and wrap up the new crossover pipe so i don't melt wires.
sweet looks good, is that a turbo from a 300zx? the exaust section looks really odd.. are you gonna be intercooled? oh well too many other questions, ill see if you do any more explanations on the workings cause those pictures dont explain much... what kinda manifolds you used and all, and the pipe that leads from them to the turbo and all, but over, goood shiat man.. cant wait to see the finished version!
now this is what im talking about.. shiny!

not going to be aftercooled right now but the Z31 guys say i can run 9-10 psi without an aftercooler.
the exhaust section was thought up by John at J&H Racing here in bloomington. basically where it's at now offer plenty of room to play around with and in the future i can add a bigger turbo with no trouble. the only thing i'll need to do is relocate the battery to the trunk which won't be hard since i already have the wires ran back there.
the turbo i'm using is a little bit bigger than the one that came stock. the one that came on the engine was either a T25 or T28. it was the turbo that came off of the 87-89 300zx turbo. It was broken, though, due to no bov. I bought a turbo that came off of the 84-86 300zx turbo which used a T3 style turbo. The T3 with the higher compression engine should allow higher boost with quicker spool time compared to the 84-86 engine stock. it won't spool as fast as the 87-89 turbo but i'll be able to push more boost.

your definately a lot further along then i am. I'm in the middle of gathering parts. looks like i'll be asking you questions...if thats ok. The only problem is; I don't know how to feed oil into the turbo, and where the hell am i gonna put the intercooler? theres no room!

the ports are different on the VE and VG heads, so technically no interchagability!
thanks. actually, i said one month. i didn't start working on it until march which sucked. it took me a little under 1 week to put the engine in and hook everything up. what took long was when i took it to a place to get worked on he was really busy working on many other cars so mine took a while to get some work. when we finally sat down and got to look at it it took maybe a day to do the stuff to get it set up correctly. so actual work put into the car is still less than a week of time... just spanned over a few months... lol
