VB stands for "Valve Body". Every auto has a valve body which controls fluid pressure among other things. The VB mod is a recalibration of your stock VB. It raises the fluid pressure so that you experience quicker and firmer shifts. It's basically another word for "shift kit".

It is BY FAR my best mod I have done. I love to feel the shifts, so for people like me, I recommend it. Alot of people don't like hard shifts. You determine that for yourself.

But, it's my best mod and I recommend it to everyone.

ALL it does is make the shift firmer and quicker. It doesn't do anything else. I won't change gear ratios, it won't make your car like a 5spd, but it will shift much faster than any 5spd can. That's it.

In the 1/4 expect no more than one tenth shaved off the time for NA cars and more like 2 or 3 tenths for forced induction cars with much more power.

So, no, the VB mod will not effect the gas mileage in any way.

I've only had it for about 5 days and i love it, basically "ditto" on what everyone else said, quicker firmer shifts + well worth it for performance and preventitive damage control to the slushbox! except it will never shift hard enuff for me! .. hehe

yeah i have been doing some testing. just can not find any traction. it is going to take some slicks to get ANY traction. last time at track i ran a 15.89 at 99mph. haha that shows my traction problem. but once she grabs i am off and going.
